A lifelong Alaskan, Dave has dedicated his career to leading major infrastructure projects throughout Alaska and the lower 48 states. Dave O’Donnell is based out of Ahtna’s Anchorage office.
Ted Champine Chief Estimator
Ted Champine, Chief Estimator has 21 year of construction experience ranging from heavy civil & infrastructure to commercial buildings. He has worked as a Contracting Officers Representative under the US Army Corps of Engineers and is also a 17-year veteran. Ted Champine is responsible for all the construction estimating for AAA Valley Gravel throughout Alaska and the lower 48 states. Ted Champine is based out of Vancouver, Washington.
Wayne McDaniel Southwest Safety Manager and Project Manager
Wayne has 40+ years’ experience in civil, petrochemical and heavy construction industries. He is responsible for overall safety for the Southwest region as well as project management on certain projects. Wayne is adept at result-driven performance on construction projects in both private and public sectors. He oversees all aspects of the building process, works closely with engineers and architects to develop plans, establish schedules and subcontracts, and determine labor and material costs. He is based out of San Antonio, Texas and serves the lower 48 states.
Michael Himler Director of Construction
Michael Himler has over 20 years of construction experience managing and building heavy civil projects ranging from airports, highway construction/rehabilitation, landfills, sill groins, and levee repairs. Michael Himler is responsible for all construction aspects for both Ahtna Construction & Primary Products Company, LLC and AAA Valley Gravel throughout Alaska. Michael Himler is based out of Anchorage, Alaska.
Dennis Blackwell Operations Director
Dennis Blackwell has over 45 years of experience in the design and construction of heavy civil construction. His experience includes 32 years as a federal employee serving as a design engineer, project manager, chief of cost, construction project manger, and Chief Engineer at NWS Charleston. He now serves as the Operations Director and is responsible for our work in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and North Carolina.
